Let’s look at the evidence, shall we?
LA riots. Mobs throwing bricks and bottles. The “armed” cops got into their cars and drove home, never to return.
Columbine. Two high school kids with no military training kept a battalion of cops hiding for hours behind trees, lamp posts and squad cars.
There’s more examples but I won’t waste the space.
Most cops are interested in getting home alive after the shift. They ain’t robocops.
You should also take account of the many excellent sheriffs we have in this country. Mine is a strong 2nd supporter and a constitutionalist. He also has an armed auxiliary deputy force numbering a few thousand.
If you don’t have one, elect one for your county next election. Remember, the best law enforcement for a free people is an elected peace officer.
