The idea that she is his step-grandmother was raised to prove that she was saying she was there when his father was born not when BHO was born, after I pointed out that no woman has to say she was there when her son was born. Someone said that she said was there when Obama’s old man was born because her step-son not her real son. But that only works if she thinks the old man is president and her grandson.
She and the interviewer were talking about her being proud that her grandson was president when she said she was there when he was born. So even if one believes the story that she is his step-grandmother, it doesn’t explain away her statement that he was born in Rwanda and she was there.
