With the oceans being warmer, I guess we can expect CO2 to evaporate at a more rapid rate from these waters than in the past, resulting in a higher concentration in the atmosphere.
Doesn’t matter -We’re all gonna be killed by an asteroid first anyhow...
We could plug the wind and solar generators into space heaters.
Great idea! Then we could mount thermoelectric generators on the space heaters. Fans could be powered by the electricity produced & used to motivate wind turbines. Should be able to warm the planet up real good.
“I think there is a good reason why, I assert that they show plummeting ocean temperature”
Not any more.
Basically, I used the sea level data as a bridge to the in situ [ocean-based] data, explains Willis, comparing them to one another figuring out where they didnt agree. First, I identified some new Argo floats that were giving bad data; they were too cool compared to other sources of data during the time period. It wasnt a large number of floats, but the data were bad enough, so that when I tossed them, most of the cooling went away. But there was still a little bit, so I kept digging and digging.

Life would be easy if only we didn't have to comply with the laws of physics or economics.
Some are speculating that satellites are generatng erronous readings lately that have slowly been going up. Interference from increased human electromagnetic radiation is suspected. Bottom line is Hurricane are not a problem this fall and winter will be a but kicker.
Tomorrow morning could be interesting.

the southern hemisphere has 1/3 more water (surface) than the northern hemisphere, yet the hottest ocean water temperature is during the summer in the north. just seems backwards
Global warming on Free Republic
Thank you.
Normally you will see ocean shallow waters warm up during summer time due to increased amounts of Infrared light. That is exactly what happened this summer. There has also been some unusual hot spots on the Eastern Russian coastline that may indicate underwater volcanic activity. The Southern Hemisphere waters are cold (Unisys data) and that is what you would normally expect during winter time. What I suspect is happening is that the warming folks were expecting El Nino to scream and it is a dud. So they went and took some average data to hype warming. They apparently need the hype to extort money from the populace later this year. Bottom line is that with warm water, why is the Atlantic Hurricane season weak ? Hurricanes need warm water. If you look at the Unisys data the Atlantic water between the Caribbean and the East Coast of Africa is slightly cool. NASA and NOAA can no longer be trusted. This northern hemisphere winter will be the final nail in their coffins.
Oops. Replace East Coast of Africa with West Coast of Africa. Actually the Eastern Atlantic.
I have no idea.
Thanks for the ping!
Thanks for the pic. I haven’t used the air conditioner this summer.
