I don’t think the Dhimmis believe armed revolts are a likely consequence. They are ordinary politicians who think they can ram through unpopular legislation in the fall of ‘09 and by the fall of ‘10 citizen anger will fade and normal voting patterns will prevail in the mid-term election. They’ll have a year to propagandize and demagogue the issue and since voters have shown themselves to have short memories in the past, the Dhimmis think we’ll calm down enough in the coming months to cause them only small losses in Congress.
If they do the cramdown, it’s up to us to keep the fires of outrage well-stoked.
I hope you are right. At least with your scenario, the country pretty much continues on as it always has.
