Is this virus ‘wind’ driven? Meaning how were these turkeys exposed in the first place? From people or pigs? Or both?

Much of the ‘control’ issues put into place around the world have involved large scale culling of domestic animals (H5N1). It gives the virus less of a reservoir and mitigates further spreading. This variation of H1N1 is part avian so it can be spread by wild birds. They’ll probably never know how the turkeys got it. Wild birds would be the best guess.
