What I mean is, the media will generally ignore Obama's slipping poll numbers. Then when he ticks up a point or two, they'll act like it's the comeback of the century.

It's like in 2006 when they spent 5 years talking about the failed economy. Then the Dems took congress in the elections, and the news was suddenly "how will we manage to maintain this robust growth". But while the robust growth was actually happening, they never reported it.
