Funny how it’s usually the pebble that starts the avalanche. In fact, more than that, it’s convinced the population that these people are not just incompetent, but certifiably insane.

Heck, in NY, the government (city & state) were possibly the only bookies in the history of gambling to lose money.

NYC ran Off-Track-Betting and was losing money hand over fist. The State took it over, and it was still losing money, to the tune of about $78MM in 2008!
