I know I am probably alone in this, but a 14 year old “victim” does not necessarily a pedophile make, in my eyes. A pervert perhaps, a bad guy, probably, and someone whom I would probably beat half to death if it was my daughter. But I dont know if I would consider them a pedophile. I mean, have you seen 14 year old girls these days? To me, a pedophile is someone who messes with sexually immature children.
He is legally a pedophile. So is the 19 year old who has sex with a 17 year old. He is physiologically a normal man overstepping legal boundaries. Those boundaries are there in order to have civilization. Punishment due is whatever the society has determined to be the penalty for such overstepping, formally or not so formally.
