imagine what it would be like if we had solid Republican party support helping us.

That would be a big mistake. What's happening now is powerful and persuasive precisely because the GOP is not behind it!

When I look at pre-election pictures the difference is striking! Obama has aged ten years or more in less than a year. The super-cool, unstressable stuff is just a pose, he can’t take the pressure.

You know at first the Republican party being absent infuriated me. But now, I think it’s a good thing.

It’s hard for the Democrats to claim that the (hated) Republican party is behind this. It’s entirely the people and not partisans who are attacking Obama at this point — and I think the best thing the Republicans can do is to be quiet until the 2010 — and claim the “People’s Party” mantle.

Of course by then they’ll probably have signed up for Obamacare Lite — so they’ll lose again.
