Its interesting that we don’t see the ACORN/SEIU thugs at AZ TH meetings, at least in an intimidating pose. Maybe it is because we have CCW here and it would not be tolerated.

My .45 trumps your baton, thug.

the rats main mission at this point is to self destruct

Yes. Example: they are so blinded by their hatred of Sarah Palin and desire to destroy her, they can't think straight when it comes to her and wind up damaging themselves.

” Pardon my skepticism, but I cannot help but be suspicious that they had this ‘co-op compromise’ ready to go from the beginning, and they’re merely scheming to bury the dead horse they’ve been beating for the government-run ‘insurance’ option inside the new Trojan one they’re now calling under the less fascistic sounding moniker of ‘co-ops’? “

You are being overly skeptical. Just watching Spector / Sebelius at the joint meeting I felt that they were not reacting the way a normal person would to the comments coming from the crowd.

Also, Spector was too calm in his individual meetings.

That gave me the feeling that a deal was already cooked, and they were immune to what they were hearing as they knew
something else was going to happen.

This may be why there are some Republicans who are scared of Sarah Palin. They want the usual Republican leadership but they also want to keep their power. They’re afraid she won’t support them and their goals for elitism. (Peggy Noonan comes to mind as an example.)

Regardless of party, for 99% of the politicians it’s still a matter of power and money.

I gather you are new to C-Span. Moderator taking sides indeed! The whole thing is a sham with their biased way of taking calls.

Exactly, but IMHO what usually does them in is the Pinocchio syndrome. After you tell as many lies as they do its impossible to keep it all straight and they start stumbling over their old comments and with today’s computers (manned by us) that spells the end for them.

Yeah interesting to note when a genuine outsider, like Palin, with a history of taking on the old boy corporate interests in her state shows up, all of the establishment voices, both Republican and Democrat suddenly join to trash her. Good point Morgan.

Great take.

They probably have a dozen fall back positions on every issue there is in Obamcare. The bottom line being push it(anything even remotely close) through at all costs.

Attacking AIDS coverage because it relates almost totally to behavior is a very good thing to bring up.

Nothing gets gays more in a frenzy than linking AIDS to behavior and linking coverage to behavior-caused illness, i.e. smoking, obesity or whatever Obama thinks we shouldn’t do.

There are lots of bribes going around, that's for sure. Specter has probably been told that if he loses in 2010, there is a nice job waiting for him in the Obama Administration. Same for the Blue Dogs.

They know they just have to get "something" passed, then it can be "adjusted" in later legislative sessions. If an amendment is inserted that abortions aren't covered, some judge would come along and declare that unconstitutional. The objective is to get something, anything on the books.

Thanks—I’m allergic to that kind of social networking, but as I posted earlier I’ve bookmarked her notes page, so that I can catch what she’s posted. (No need to join for that.)

Glad Charles admitted he was wrong about the protestors.

Only conservatives are ever wrong, didja ever notice that?

texting is generational. I only text because that is the only way I can communicate with my daughter. She and her husband text constantly.

My son, a few years older, refuses to text.

"Christie makes fun of him about ethics with a video of the Democrat's arrested for bribery being perp walked a couple of weeks ago."

Big story for 2 days and then gone. Just imagine if those 44 arrested were Republicans instead of Democrats (all but one, anyway). It would lead the evening news every single night right through the trial.
