Raven, Jennings and Hi-Point are different companies. I carry a Hi-Point Model C9 9mm (about $130 retail) when I do security work, and it works just fine, never had a misfire at the range, and the price is exceptional. It is a tad heavy due to the design, but not overly so. They have a full, lifetime, transferable warranty, and are made in Ohio, USA, so how can you lose?
I've known several people who own one or more.
They have a lifetime transferable guarantee.
Sometimes a minor adjustment to a couple of tabs on the magazine need to be tweeked to get reliable feeds of some maker's ammunition, but that is about it and is by no means needed on all.
They are a very good value for someone who wants a pistol but hasn't got $500 or more for a first-rate pistol.
