Perhaps it’s a bit of a pun, or an inside joke, perhaps it’s a coincidence arising out of the use of “J” for Jewish, but there is no “J” Street in Washington. For some reason the city planners skipped over that letter. There’s an I Street, and a K Street, famous for it’s law firms specializing in lobbying, but there’s no “J” Street in between.

The J Street political action committee has received tens of thousands of dollars in donations from dozens of Arab and Muslim Americans, as well as from several individuals connected to organizations doing Palestinian and Iranian issues advocacy, according to Federal Election Commission filings.

I have always suspected this was the case.
