I wanted to write a post on that business industry study showing that the Houses global warming bill will bludgeon the economy, but its simply too depressing/enraging after a long week of depression and rage. Have at it in the comments if you can muster the energy. Instead, since we havent had a good religion food fight in a while, enjoy stalwart lefty Ed Schultz discovering the joys of faith-based politics.
Its a testament to how vile the lefts rhetoric has become, especially when mouthed by MSNBCs primetime line-up of demagogues, that this line of attack comes off as comparatively genteel. Although maybe thats due in part to Schultzs guests here not barfing up the talking points hes expecting. Take a page from Olbermann, Ed: Make sure to screen the guests for total ideological conformity before you put them on the air. That way there are no surprises.
My very strong suspicion is that if I posted this on a lefty site, all the Christians there would say yes, of course Jesus wants universal health care. As it is, opinion among Christians here will be unanimous that he doesnt or that hed have no opinion (render unto Caesar, etc.) Exit question: Arent the lefties right?

Would you like the Vatican to run the government?
Would Jesus vote for someone based on their skin color?
Charity is giving unto others freely by choice.
Socialism is theft, enforced by murder.
Jesus never condoned evil men.
Just more proof that Liberalism is a mental disorder.
Jesus said “The poor you will always have with you”
I don’t know Ed but when I meet him someday I’ll ask him and somehow get word down to you.
well I certainly do not. I wouldn't mind seeing him humiliated, but seriously, what the Left is doing with these kind of accusations and cries of racism is threatening the conservatives with civil unrest if we oppose Obama. In other words, "Back off or we'll rouse the rabble."
What they are also doing is taking the substance of the debate off the front page and replacing it with a discussion on the Patriotism of the protestors. They have made us the story to take the heat off of themselves.
Isn’t it amusing when these Godless liberals play the Jesus card?
There are plenty of Americans who would readily resist the roused rabble. :)
Jesus also said that the church only requires 10% tithing... and the government should expect no more
You would be surprised how many denominations lobby their elected officials to legislate charity... Who do you think is demanding free health care for any illegal that crosses our borders?
They will do or say anything to shut down the opposition
Oh sure...Jesus would approve of abortion, euthanasia and
denying the power of God from Govt. officials./sc
So he thinks Jesus would approve of government paid abortions. I’m not even a Christian, and I think that’s a bit of a stretch.

Ummm... no. Jesus is all-powerful. If he wanted universal health care, he'd have it.
It reminds me of Satan quoting Scripture to Jesus in order to deceive him. As far as I remember, Jesus didn’t talk about universal health care. He did talk about eternal life, which begins with repentance and faith. I doubt that Schultz knows the meaning of repentance.
