39% is still too high, I like 9% or lower.

Actually anything under 40% will do just fine. Under that and he will be electoral poison to the Dems. We just have to survive until 2010.

The most important thing is that his numbers seem to be staying down. Sure we couldn't hold the -11, but he hasn't gone back to 0 either. And now his overall numbers have moved into the negative. The town halls caught him by surprise and drove him down, but he has had a week and a half to adapt, and he has still failed to make up the lost ground. That is critical. The people he is loosing now are staying lost.

Other important polls. Reid looks to be in trouble in NV. This is going to put a real limit on how radical he can be in pushing this load of manure in the Senate. Specter also appears to be on the way out, and he has never shown much of a tendency to take a stand. Finally the gals from Maine have to know that siding with the Dems now would doom them. Before when it looked like Obamam over all things it was easy for them to stab the GOP in the back. Now that there are consequences for this they may hang with us on Cap and Tax and Deathcare. It is still a long shot, but at least we have a shot.
