The revelation last week that a majority of Americans may actually disagree with the President was something for which his team was clearly not prepared. Their attempt to marginalize citizens across the country who dared to speak out against a government-takeover of health care is shameful, arrogant, and desperately sad.
With the American people growing increasingly unhappy with the Presidents health care plan, Democrats in Congress are working feverishly to cast those who are concerned as radical props to the special interests. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, in a sign of bold leadership, last week told reporters that protests of government-run health care were phony and staged. He stepped up to a microphone holding a piece of artificial sod and declared that the nationwide dissent was but a marketing ploy, just Astroturf. White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs called the movement manufactured.

Dingy Harry’s days in the Senate are numbered. Cant wait to Nevada votes this idiot out of office.
Note to Harry: YOUR DAYS ARE NUMBERED PAL!...
The Dems have the votes to get this passed.
We need to make that perfectly clear.
Make them own the plan. Then the GOP needs to keep pushing that NONE of this was theirs.
Whatever happens once we regain control of the government the whole state of Nevada (the federal part anyway) is going to be covered with radioative waste products and we are going to laugh and laugh and laugh at how stupid the people there had been to inflict Harry Reid on the rest of us.(kind of a cynical view, but Nevada voters DESERVE to be punished).
Wishful thinking ... There are plenty of GOP congressional clunkers to spoil that party.
After speaking to a young girl about the "mean" signs outside he emitted a smile that was reminiscent of the Hillary cackle (it continued abnormally...as if greatly forced) and then he commented oddly on how "yes", he had seen the protest signs outside.
I don't know if he is indeed having a meltdown of sorts but I found his behavior and demeanor quite bizarre.
Arrogance beyond Henry the XV! These people have such CONTEMPT for tax-paying citizens. They feel if you're not a government-sponsored tax-eater or a DC bureaucrat, you're obviously not worth s***.
GUILLOTINE THE M'FER! ! ! ! !(at the polls, of course...)

You and everyone else here needs to stop pushing the tired GOP good Dem bad meme and realize that they are just the same coin with different faces.
How many times have we seen All Dems for something, GOP against, but then just a few GOP change their minds to get some abhorrent piece of slime passed. Then they wash, rinse, repeat for something else that the GOP wants.
Politicians, no matter the party, are not working in our best interests. They all, Dem and GOP, work for the banking oligarchy with a nod to corporations every so often.
The only answer is to throw all these anti-Constitutional traitors out of office, all of them, and only vote in those who will truly stand for very limited government, strict Constitutional policies.
You nailed it. The Dems don’t need any Rep votes to get this passed. They own it. The problem is within their own party coupled with the fact that the majority of the American people disagree with it. The Reps should give them no political cover and make the Dems totally responsible and accountable for the consequences.
He was scripted so many times for that "scene" that he probably couldn't remember the last coaching and timing and had to think (impossible for the dim-bulb). What you saw was a crappy actor muffing his lines with no
"Cut! Take 2. Now try to act friendly, yet firm to the stupid white girl."
Been getting thaqt all morning. It generally goes away when I refresh the screen. Yesterday it was really hard to get on. Took me several hours.
I had it happen some yesterday, and quite a lot today.
Good article! Here’s how the protesters are defined:
Nancy Pelosi/Steny Hoyer - Un-American
Baron Hill - Political Terrorists
Harry Reid - Phony, Staging, Astroturfers
Nice.
"They" own the (expletive deleted) media. No way your average stupid oprah fan will ever do anything but what they're told to do. A national strike would work, but I don't even know how those happen.
I’m wondering if this debate is what Obama really wants as it is divisive in nature...pitting one group against another...divide and conquer....he has the votes, this thing could have been a done deal...but in the spirit of not letting a “crisis” go by without taking advantage of it...the health care reform issue was perfect. What do you all think?
Your approch is self defeating. I'm beginning to wonder who's side someone is on when they post something like this.
We have a 2 party system...like it or not. Those parties are the GOP and the democrats. If you want to stop obama in his tracks vote for the GOP. We have a 1993 like opportunity here to take back the House. Only if we elect Republicans. If you want to suggest that folks fight in the primaries for the most conservative candidate possible I'm all for that, but to say that both parties are the same and it doesn't matter who's in charge only serves to maintain the status quo, democrat majority. Is that what you want Tesla? It seems to me that Netmilsmom is trying to stop obama. What are you trying to do?
