Praise the Lord. Folks in New jersey are even speaking out. Check out this video of a townhall with Congressman Rothman (D-NJ) To his credit this is one of 10 townhalls he has planned with his folks.

no offense taken my FRiend. I am still looking for the text. I think I saved it on my favorites. BRB
The RATs are telling the truth when the say that the illegals will not be covered. The RATs intend to grant the illegals amnesty and make them citizens before the 2010 elections. The RATs claim will then be true.
He’s in Secaucus AUG 13th thurs..Anyone on here going ?
I heard tonight that there are 5 different versions of the bill floating around. If that is the case it will be tough to accurately quote the page #.
I may not be in town on Thursday—but just in case—details, time and place?
Sneaky Bastards
Speaker Pelosi and others have been trying to say that the House plan doesn’t cover illegal aliens because it doesn’t specifically say that it does. Our allies, however, point out that unless legislation specifically bars illegal aliens from anything — and requires verification — illegal aliens always end up getting the benefit.
The fact that the Hispanic Caucus appears to be satisfied with the language the way it is suggests that our allies are right.
Roll Call reported that the CHS emphasized to Pelosi that she must block any language that would restrict the federal health plan to illegal aliens.
Once again, it appears that the Hispanic Caucus cares more about illegal aliens than Hispanic American citizens.

Thanks, I just went on your nj.com forum and found the e-mail there. I have e-mailed a few friends to see if they will tag along with me.
the bigger the turnout the better. i feel like a kid on christmas morning. there is nothing more satisfying than watching politicians sweat as they’re berated by the people.
I agree!!! I think I may bring popcorn this should be a heck of a show.
This is a pretty liberal part of NJ too.
ALL Repubs should be holding at least 2 or 3 TownHalls to show people they are having the meetings and listening to people. The GOP has been handed a gift.
We never used to be that “liberal” in southern Bergen. Too much influx, too much “change.” (yuck—that word has literally become akin to a four-letter word to me).
And yes, the GOP has been handed a gift and yes, they should be holding Town Hall Meetings of their own. Unfortunately, all our representatives are dems so we have to live with what we have.
Bingo. We are the frog being slowly boiled. They will do it incrementally and DeathCare is a Trojan Horse for amnesty.
We need to tell the GOP NO to any watered down deal MCCain and Graham-nesty and the other stinking RINOs push.
I had relatives over 30+ years due a weird transformation from Repubs to Dem goons. It must be the water or TV/newspaper media.
Thursday Rothman will be at the Secaucus Town Hall from 1 to 3 p.m. for a listening session.
