Guess we’ll disagree, but in contrast to your definition, America is not a single party state and criticism abounds. I’m not suggesting there aren’t those who’d like that state of affairs, but that’s not America. It is important to keep it that way.
that's why I enumerated the telltale characteristics. Because a regime hasn't (visbly) demonstrated each and every one (yet), but clearly has so many others, I would be given to think a reasonable person would play the odds.
As for your stated objections (America is not a single party state; criticism abounds), the regime is conducting itself as if it were the only party and it is doing everything currently available to it to suppress, stifle, marginalize and demonize the very hint of criticism.
