I have friend who’s father owns farm land that he basically does not farm anymore. So I have been able shoot some long range shots on their property. I’ve been shooting into a natural dirt dam that is on one side of a small pond. I’m considering seeing if I can buy some of those large hay rounds and put two on the bottom and one on the top that would give me something to shoot into and to hang targets on. I don’t think a round would go through then since they are about five foot high and 6 foot deep.

I would imagine any centerfire rifle bullet can penetrate a hay bale.
