We’re uninsured because our medical group under Blue Cross was cancelled when we got older. Everybody in the group had to reapply as an individual. By then we had preexisting conditions and the only insurance we could get was so expensive we had to make a decision about whether we wanted to live in abject poverty with health insurance or take a chance and hope God would be kind enough to keep us alive till 65, when we can sign up for Medicare.
I have to survive another 9 1/2 months but hubby has another year and a half to go.
If everyone did their freakin' job, we wouldn't be in this freakin' mess.
