Am stating what many won’t, but what most are thinking about.
Some may hold their tongues out of a sense of civility, or so as not to give what has become a rapacious propaganda machine (which the left easily dehumanizes us with...) ammunition with which they can label us.
I’d imagine the Jews shuttering their doors as cristalnacht echoed in the streets around them probably were thinking the same, gentle thoughts.
Much the same as Huntington’s observation that the borders of Islam (where in contact with Dar al Harb) are writ in blood, I offer the following observation: when we look at every blood stained event involving untold thousands (hundreds or millions) of deaths on this planet these past 100 years, we will always find that the hand which wielded the proverbial Axe belonged to the totalitarian leftist.
Furthermore, or I should instead say, beforehand, the massacre was preceded by a campaign of dehumanization, wherein the ideological opponent was converted into something “not like us”; the proverbial “they”, thus less-than-us, inhuman... ergo worthy of being rid of.
Such labels start off small, you know, seemingly incongruent with the flow of mainstream thought. The “HOW CAN 54 MILLION AMERICANS BE SO DUMB?” Headlines right after Bush beat that swiftboat pretender back in ‘04 come to mind.
Now we’re un-American, homegrown terrorists, disrupting the civil discourse, causing God-knows-what kind of evils against the country. Yeah, I know, the irony of a leftist using God to emphasize his point is still there.
Seems to me the propaganda assaults are now moving more and more from just plain old nastiness towards the kind of demonization that might result in some union thugs thinking it’s perfectly OK to beat up one of those “Anti-American Nazi Fascists” (yes, another irony...).
Oh wait - that is already happening. Perhaps I might be a bit behind the powercurve on this one...
Drastic words which I write, some may say? Definitely off my rocker, as others might label me? “LOOK, a RIGHT WING EXTREMIST!!!” - Napolitano targetted me with these words around two months ago - way before I wrote the above.
I sure do not want to see my country or my family suffer such a whirlwind, but I’m afraid that it’s less and less likely a matter of IF; it’s simply a matter of when.
