If they would come up with some very heavy penalties for failure to pull over for police, there would be a lot fewer of these accidents.

Way too many of these people are repeat offenders who thought it would be "worth it" to do it again.

Just like repeat robbers, murderers, etc. that the judges keep turning loose.

If the cops decided not to chase anyone, the perps would adopt that as standard procedure and all hell would break loose.

Capt fleeing to allude is already a felony in some states and it still hasn’t put a stop to it. What needs to be done is stop the fleeing not the pursuits, I say take them out as quick as possible and lessen the chances of innocents being involved.
