And if the car was stolen, you just arrested an innocent person.The police are smart enough to figure all of this out. Are you arguing that the police are too stupid to figure out extenuating circumstances so they need to be unleashed willy nilly like rabid dogs?
How are you going to prove that the owner wasn’t driving the car when you show up several hours later to talk to him?
