I just ordered my copy of Rules for Radicals. And I plan to use it.
Peter Mullenburg in a church in Woodstock VA (my hometown) opened his clerical robe to show a uniform. He recited the bible speech about a time to sow and a time to reap and a time for peace and a time for war.
Many followed him that day to join the revolution right from that Woodstock VA church that still stands today.
We just have to be smarter than they are. Think about 3 steps ahead and envision the potential images of these confrontations. What will be seen by the public? Dogs after grandmas, hoses on homeschoolers? We need to be resolute, innocent, and willing to go to jail for our right to peacefully protest.
I’m not a radical, just a patriotic (and I thought mainstream, normal) mom who wants my children and future grandchildren to enjoy a free country the way I have and my ancestors have. I don’t think that’s asking too much and it p___es me off that I’m portrayed as a dangerous extremist for wanting a better future.
I’m tired of others defining me, but I refuse to fight dirty. I absolutely will not stoop to their level.
God gave me this scripture this am, and it brought me great comfort. Proverbs 17:20 — “A man of perverse heart does not prosper; he whose tongue is deceitful falls into trouble.” I know God is faithful and that I must behave in a Godly manner and count on Him to do the rest. After all, He truly has the power and the glory. I’d be a fool not to trust.
