I hesitated to mention this in the Gates uproar, but the fact is he is not a bad guy. He took a very strong position against Nation of Islam and black anti-Semitism.

I chalk the dust up to just one more example of how Obama has actually set back race relations in this country by a decade.

You can't blame Obama for Gate's reaction, he's a good guy with a chip on his sholder, but Obama, you bet, he made it an issue of race.

I'm reminded of Mel Gibson's tirade at the Jewish cop, the media didn't focus on Mel's childhood, or the reasons for his reaction. They properly focused on the incident, as did Mel, and he apologized. Wasn't the officers fault. Different treatment.
