I do genealogy and my info is private. None of the sites that I’ve seen has info on living persons let alone a BC.

Yes. It’s standard and proper to keep the info on any living person private. It’s too odd that the BC on any living person would be posted for all to see — unless, of course, the Aussies do things differently.
