Good point. Users of genealogy sites are generally more interested in displaying vital records for the deceased who have numerous descendants trying to track them down, not living persons. Another thing is that this is a hi res scan. Someone was trying to make it good. A little TOO good.

I'm a genealogist myself (member of the D.A.R.) I can personally attest that you NEVER, EVER, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES display ANY living person's vital records where they may be publicly viewed!!!!

Even in genelogical FILES you ALWAYS report 'still living' or 'living' with no other information. This protects against identify theft and it protects you (the genealogist) against any possible legal action by the person who's 'identity' you publicly posted.

The fact that a LIVING person's vital record was prominently displayed on a public website was my first clue that something was fishy.
