You see this as a "losing issue" and so you just want to sweep it all under the rug at the first whiff that there might be a problem with the document, such as whether it should say "Republic of Kenya". There has been plenty of proof posted to make the argument of why it could have been called that in Feb 1964.

Since you see this as a losing issue, you have a vested interest in "debunking" this document. We're just trying to get to the truth, but you have another agenda. You want us to guit worrying about where Obama was born and focus on his agenda. Maybe you aren't capable of giving BOTH their due attention, but I sure can.

Sorry, but the earliest indication I've seen of any KENYAN calling Kenya the "Republic of Kenya" is JUNE of 1964.

And it wasn't officially so until that December.

By the way, you do realize that government institutions don't necessarily change their forms within a week, don't you?

Yes, it's certainly possible that a Kenyan government form in February of 1964 could've INCORRECTLY referred to Kenya as "Republic of Kenya." It's POSSIBLE that an official 2009 government-issued birth certificate in the State of Texas could refer to Texas as "The Texas Union."

It just isn't likely.

Therefore, since it IS, highly, UNlikely, the burden of proof that it happened is on those who claim that it may have.

Note that I'm open to some other explanation as well, such as that the certificate was actually issued on a later date than that claimed on the certificate itself. I don't see how it's reasonably possible, but maybe someone can explain how it is.

"We're just trying to get to the truth"

If you're "just trying to get to the truth," then why do you seem incapable of acknowledging that the December 1963 Constitution called Kenya "Kenya," that nobody has produced any evidence whatsoever of any Kenyan even CALLING Kenya "the Republic of Kenya" prior to June of that year, and that the government itself didn't proclaim itself a Republic until December 1964?

I'm sorry that the facts don't fit your agenda. But there they are.

While I think this issue will get us nowhere, I have no vested interest in “debunking” this document. I don't care if it's swept under the rug or not. I don't know if the document is real or not, let alone if there are any problems with it. I agree that there could of been references to a “Republic of Kenya” before 1964. But a quick google on Kenya will give most readers the “impression”, that there was no republic of Kenya prior to that date. This was confusing to some of us, who aren't as versed in this issue, and trying to understand what's going on. I have no other agenda then to stop Obamunism.

I'm more then capable of giving multiple issues their due attention. I guess were we differ is in how much attention this issue is due. That said, good luck in your quest, and I'm being genuine. I think this is a waste of time, but should you be right, and this issue brings down Obama; it'll be the sweetest tasting crow I've ever eaten.

Happy Hunting, and see you on the battlefield.
