Seems that Democratic Senators Dick Durbin (if that isnt alliterative kind of like Kooky Karl I dont know what is) and Chuck Schumer (who goes by Chuck in an effort to butch up, I guess) are out and about today, protesting loudly and a bit too stridently that the woodshed licking members of the House Democratic caucus are being dealt at sundry town halls around the nation are purely the productive of (wait for it) special interests.
Wow. Has Democrat manufactured outrage gotten so hackneyed and ineffective that two of the partys grandees have to go to the Were being bullied by the special interests route so soon into the month of August, and with the Senate not even in recess yet? Talk about prepping the battlefield.
Really, though all of these protests by the Democrats so far have seemed like a page ripped right out of the Big Lie, a propaganda technique first spoken of by Adolf Hitler in his 1925 biography Mein Kampf.
Basically, a Big Lie is a lie so gargantuan that nobody in their right mind would believe that the teller of such a whopper would have the audacity to distort the truth so openly and audaciously. You see that its use has pretty much been employed throughout the sum total of the Obama administration (and in his previous presidential campaign, to put it plainly), so far.
But this can be countered, and fairly easily, if people who stand against the loss of personal freedoms and choice that Obamacare, at its heart, really is. They need to take a few minutes to arm themselves with consistent counterarguments. And I mean more than just saying It costs too much, or We cant afford it. Anybody can make that sort of protest, even a Congressperson.

The message that should be delivered to these arrogant politiicians is the special interests you’re ignoring are going to vote you out of office. Start packing now.

I’m sorry but any elected official who hold s a public meeting, hears from the public, and then says the public are phoneys:
Ata minimum deserves to be shouted down. Certainly unelected at the earliest opportunity.
What scumbags, they can’t even acknowledge people’s strong feelings. How does it feel to be “nonpersons”?
Democrats To American Public: Go To Hell!
2010 is going to feel so good watching many of these arrogant elitists get fired by the people.
Dismissing the people’s REAL anger is one of the many nails already in their coffins.
And in 2012, the people will finish the job, firing the Senators who aren’t up for re-election in 2010 and throwing out Obama and his corrupt cronies.
This ought to endear the presidente to the protesters.
We all just love being called names and disregarded as insurance company shills.
I say we should get louder and get our more often!!!
I should think that loss in Delaware this week to a Republican would clue the libtards in on the fact that the base is ticked off.
I only play a democrat in my circle. Better to influence by stealth among my peers.
Opus maxim #7 ~ Infiltrate, ask questions that can’t be answered, raise doubts. This is a pure SDS play, btw.
Those are democrat voters who are against the health care bill. Dismissing people’s concerns is a sure way to lose.
All they do is tell the Big Lie, constantly and without break. Sheeple WANT to believe it and the gullible get sucked into it fairly quickly.
Counter what they say with facts and how the culture of free enterprise is far superior to the culture of dependency (I love the American Enterprise Institute...can you tell? ;-)
I think we’re being swindled. I think Obamacare, this year, is a Red Herring.
He’ll drop it if we’ll give him Cap and Trade.
He might, but it’s a fools errand. If we have the enemy on the run we should never break off the attack. We can take down cap-and-trade and ObamaCare if we do this properly.
I, for one, am specially interested in them leaving my health care alone.
In the past, mainstream American politicians have been restrained by the design of our Constitution, whose intricate system of electoral accountability and checks and balances between governmental branches insured moderation.
I fear we are entering uncharted territory. Please convince me otherwise.
Such elitist arrogance.
These spoiled brats are beyond pathetic.

I think a lot of these people will go in 2010, but Chuck the Schmuck wont be one of them. He has his constituents well in the bag.
Mew Yorkers arent bright enough to dump up-Chuck
These elitist pinheads spend so much of their time going to Washington parties and rubbing elbows with the rest of the arrogant trash we currently have in Washington that they have forgotten that THEY work for US. They seem outraged that taxpayers would have the GALL to ruin their taxpayer funded summer vacation with something as silly as reminding them that we elected them to represent US!
“Just how far are these people willing to go in pursuit of power?”
— They use the Big Lie at every turn and will use every tool at their disposal. But forewarned is forarmed, so there’s hope.
“In the past, mainstream American politicians have been restrained by the design of our Constitution, whose intricate system of electoral accountability and checks and balances between governmental branches insured moderation.”
— This is why the 10th Amendment movement is growing. We can speak at the ballot box and through the new media and Web 2.0 Republicans and Libertarians and those who love freedom and personal liberty have let the Dems have the playing field on that front to themselves for far too long. It’s time to take it away from them.
“I fear we are entering uncharted territory. Please convince me otherwise.”
It might be a new frontier, but we’re braver, stronger and harder working. We can take the initiative.
Obamacare is not pro-choice. With Obama’s health care plan, no one will have the choice of HMO or PPO. Employers won’t be able to offer top health care benefits to attract good workers. It is one-size-fits-all. Take it or... take it!
If you don’t like how long it takes to get a referral to a specialist, you can... wait however long it takes. With no competition in the marketplace, there’s no reason for health care providers to excel at service. For people who have a HMO plan or a PPO plan, it will be like going from a private school to a public school.
