Having had family members who back in the 60s, and 70s were members of the American Sunbathing Association (nudist),I would agree with you. They did what they did behind a fence, and a gate you could only get through as a member or guest. Riding through town exposing yourself to everyone wanting to see you or not, crosses the lewdness line big-time in my book.

IMO there’s nothing wrong with public nudity - its all about the right time and place - ie saunas, which are best done naked. Its different in Britain - most wouldn’t use a mixed sauna naked (be surprised if there’s any outside of a nudist camp) or even single sex. But what you do get is these silly exhibitionists - just like the subject of this thread, who use the “nothing wrong with nudity” excuse.
