I used Yahoo Austrailia, and there is a D.J. Bomford who lives in greater Adelaide, and the "Bomford" BC indicates the parents were living in the same general area, although closer in. However, the street name is Road on the BC, while it's Lane on both Bing and Google maps. Google will put you right on the street, just like many US locations. However there was a big lorry blocking the view. It doesn't look like a residential area, at least on the side of the Lane one can see, but in 1961..??
My Great Uncle Sams place was a farm in '61, and even later, now it's a bunch of freight transfer warehouses, and a FedEx place. The barns, the sheds, even the house are gone. Only a couple of trees mark where the house was. His brother's place, several miles away and on the east rather than north of the city, is also gone with only a couple of trees to mark where it was, but it's a Housing development, with their last name on it (Hxxxx Heights) , with many of the streets named after his children. If it had to go (it was a small dairy farm with horses and kid sized tractors for the grandkids, great nieces and great nephews), a neighborhood is better than trucking ugly.
According to the Genealogy page the person is real, but the BC might have been faked or added.
