That’s what happened at the Specter/Sebellius townhall.

They started spouting lies. They KNEW they were spouting lies.

They were just surprised that everyone at the meeting knew they were lies.

People were shouting “you’re LYING!” and “LIAR!” at them. They didn’t know what to do with that.

Get there early - poll the people - yes or no.

Tell the twerp - there are (the amount) citizens/taxpayers/voters here and (the amount) do not want this! The meeting will be over quickly after the twerp is told - if you vote for it we vote you out.

And I might add, make sure every single person in attendance is educated on the issues, well-spoken and level-headed. All you need is one loud or ignorant person in your group and the press will zero in on him to try to destroy the whole message.

Oh, and hot babes among the protesters helps. :)

No, seriously, the news likes nothing better than putting babes on the news. Gotta keep up them ratings!

Unless you get in the news, you really aren’t being very productive. Make sure you are loud and impossible to ignore. Plan to be photographed. Make sure you have a T-Shirt with something relevant on it and have signs nearby so that no matter how the media tries to label you as a crazy, your message shines through.

I think there should be 1 level headed person stating that we are not willing to give our government the right to legislate our health care. They have no right to vote on a bill that takes our rights as citizens away which forces us to pay for government run health care.

Then the audience says hear, hear! Of course the Representative will try to state that we are doing this in your best interest. And the 1 level headed person will state yet again we have voted and we expect you to take notice. Then go to each and every person in the room asking do you wish the government to take control of your health care - and in sequence each gives their vote. They must represent the people.

If we have enough people there, why not use groups inside and outside the meeting hall.Look up the "Delphi Technique" for good ways to steer public meetings. Those that are articulate and quick studies can “work the meetings”,the others can carry signs outside.

No Conservative I know is comfortable with Saul Alinisky tactics.(If we were, we would not be Conservatives!) But the aggressor defines the rules of the game, and we cannot bring a knife to this gunfight. As personally distasteful as I may find it, loud, boisterous and in-your-face appears to work, and is our last, best option. Putting the fear of G*d in them is our best hope.

I will offer one personal observation. My whole life I have been watching our freedoms slowly erode under the weight of more and more Government intervention. I can only think of one case where it went the other way and we gained freedom.
It was when Pennsylvania rescinded their manadatory Motorcycle Helmet Law several years ago. I took the lesson that a bunch of menacing, angry men clad in leather and chains gathered on the Capitol lawn was what it took to get the attenion of our legislators.

Go to the mike and respectfully ask the most difficult to answer question you can constuct then DO NOT LEAVE THE MIKE UNTIL THE CRITTER COMPLETELY ANSWERS IT.

And if your critter is one of those lamers who forces you to write your question on cards from which his flunkies will screen any tough ones (LISTEN UP NOW, THIS IS VITAL)

REPLACE YOUR CRITTER BECAUSE THIS ONE IS NO DAMN GOOD!!!!

I guess parking a Patton tank on the front lawn would be frowned on as well...

Ask the question “What is the difference between what the current Federal government is doing to state and individual liberties, and what King George and British did to the colonists?”

Ask tough questions ...number one is if the Congressman has actually read all of the 1,042 page health care bill and plans to do so before voting. Then start asking questions specific to pages in the bill asking for example if the mandatory end of life counseling is intended to stop seniors from getting certain care. Again be sure to cite the page of the bill. I would also ask if they know who actually wrote this bill as Congress obviously did not.

The leftists around here always send out press announcements to the newspapers, radio & television stations. They will have at least one very competent speaker to put on TV, and another 3 or 4 fairly good speakers for radio and the newspaper interviews. I'd suggest you get a group of 3 or 4 people together and coordinate and rehearse your "speeches."

The leftists also have worked out their chants before hand and usually it starts with the same person starting it. I'd suggest ones that aren't too long like when the politician starts in the lying chant..."No more lies, no more lies." Just say no, ObamaCare is DeathCare, Read the damn bill, Stop spending our money, etc. Print them up and pass them out. The peaceniks do, so can we.

They always use symbolism, too. The pitchforks and torches is great. Make some out of cardboard and paint them up. Use dyed dacron stuck in a cardboard tube for the flame. Make sure there is a recognizable theme.
