Discounting the Bible's veracity includes insisting that it does not move, and thus doesn't orbit the Sun?

Psalm 104:5 HE set the foundation of the Earth so that it should not be moved forever.

Is one not a Christian because they don't agree to e-s’s interpretation, or just your interpretation?

I was thinking more along the lines of Genesis, then there's that pesky demanding God be excluded from His own creation, off limits to children, issue of yours. My new tagline should give you some clue.

Frankly, it's absurd to say you're a Christian then attack those that actually put faith into God's Word/scripture, not to mention acknowledge God's creation.

Patently absurd.

If God wanted you to believe we were created in the image of apes, He'd have simply told us as much in the Bible. He didn't. He told us we were created in His image, and not over ga-jillions of years via some purposeless, unintelligent undesigned "process".

There are differing meanings of the word "foundation".

And frankly, a Christian understands sharing the Good News. So it's awfully strange to Christians to turn around and demand of children that God is somehow not welcome in science class (or anywhere for that matter.)

Lastly, why worry about my, or e-s's (whoever that is) interpretations and just stick with Christ's? Read up on what He said about OT scripture and what God said in Genesis, etc.

So it is just YOUR interpretation then.

Others say that if you say the Earth orbits the Sun you are putting man’s science above scripture.

They suffer from the same delusion.

Where’d you get 3 weeks from?

Everyone else does.

Ummm no...re-read my post. The subject is Christ's interpretation.

But then to project your delusions in the same post...whew!

Seek out treatment for that!

And you presume to know perfectly Christ's interpretation of scripture.

According to geocentric creationists you are putting man's science above scripture if you accept that the Earth is in orbit around the Sun.

I suppose they would claim that geocentricism is “Christ's interpretation” as well.

They labor under the same delusion that you do.

One’s piety is not measured on a sliding scale with just how whacked out your cosmology is. Geocentric creationists are not more pious than heliocentric creationists, young earth creationists are not more pious than old earth creationists, and creationists are not more pious than those of us Christians who accept the findings of biology and other sciences- and we see no conflict between reality and scripture; just reality and your INTERPRETATION of scripture.

I’m not so hopeless as you as to miss the point that Christ is pro-scripture.

And pro-inclusive of God the Father’s inclusion in His own creation.

I too am pro Scripture, just not your interpretation of it.

Despite your protestations otherwise, you do not own scriptural interpretation.

My interpretation isn’t the issue...as was pointed out, you can’t pick and choose what you’ll accept and reject and expect to be taken seriously, while ignoring the very fact that Jesus Himself spoke about scripture and interpretation of it.

Your interpretation is simply cuckoo and even little kids get it.

Your interpretation is entirely the issue, as well as that of geocentric creationists. To them you are picking and choosing what scriptures to believe and putting the science of man above the word of God.

You don't own scripture. Someone who doesn't agree with your interpretation of scripture is not anti-Scripture.

Appeal to ignorance? Little kids also eat boogers.

Again, people understand scripture and Jesus’ stance on scripture. Attempting to marginalize people that understand the facts isn’t working out for you so well.

You should seriously look into studying scripture with people that actually know scripture!

Meanwhile your incoherency simply doesn’t change the facts.

Maybe your little kids eat boogers but mine sure don’t. ;)

I have the same scriptural interpretation as the Pope. Do you think he doesn't know scripture?

The simple fact is that the more someone knows, especially in the field of science, the less likely they are to be a creationist.

Thus creationism is the refuge of the ignorant and uneducated; and apparently booger eating children as well.

You stick with the Pope, I’ll stick with Jesus...

and speaking of ignorant and uneducated, the position that you hold, the incoherent and indoctrinated purposeless, random, unintelligent, undesigned godless liberal secular humanist lunacy; while attacking Christians that understand scripture, while claiming to be Christian,

...is as ignorant and uneducated as one can possibly get!

Yes, you are as ignorant and uneducated as one can get. Lunacy describes it quite well. Me disagreeing with your interpreatation of scripture is not me “attacking Christians”. You are only claiming to be a Christian.

All the projections in the world can’t help you out of your incoherent disconnected mess.

No one is going to buy it’s Christian to demand (via your myriad bend over backwards liberal contortions) to exclude God from His own creation.
