To many here see things in terms of oversimplification.
I live in a large city.
Also where the largest concentration of military
is located.
I have been in East Germany in the early 1980s.
Some on FR are in small towns and haven’t been 100 miles from where they live.
It is difficult to describe the real world to many here.
This country can't afford a California sized single payer system never mind one with 300 million people and 10% of that not working.
Long story short, that's a 30 trillion dollar bill.
That's extremely fluffy however. imagine the massive unemployment and loss of GNP that we'd get when the entire insurance industry in this country collapses, because it's sustained by the current health care set up we have now.
NOBODY is adding these numbers up.
I'd be suprized if this country wasn't in full riot and burning to the ground in short order if the RATS were stupid enough to push through welfare health care, and stick the knife the rest of the way into this countries back.
In fact I dare them to try. it's pretty clear it's going to take something big to get people off their butts.
