Pournelle’s comment is very interesting. He found the URL by googling. That’s a dangerous way of doing things. The site he entered may well have nothing to do with the cars-for-clunkers program, or the government. It sounds like a variation on a phishing sort of site, but that disclaimer Beck is frothing about sounds more like a prank, someone making a point.

Calm down, folks.

A “Prank Site”? When one clicks on “Submit Transaction” the interesting read on sacrificing your rights that pops up is something, but a “Prank”? I think not. Orwellian yes, Prank no.
