From the Pournelle comment posted in #6, seems the URL in question is CASHFORCLUNKERSFACTS.COM. Doing a Whois on that shows that whoever registered that domain has cloaked themselves. Nothing too nefarious in that; it’s common nowadays. The domain is hosted in the U.S., seemingly in Houston.

Anyway, seems to me that Beck needs to calm down. It is not at all clear that the site is run by the Feds or connected in any way with the Cash for Clunkers operation. Someone might have secured the domain name and put that registration page up as a prank... or to make a point, if only that “people click through disclaimers without reading.”

IF I was inclined to go to such a website, I would use an old Pentium III machine which has been on the shelf gathering dust, nothing fancy, 933mhz processor, 30 gig drive, 512 megs of memory, it’s no great shakes, if those federal f*cks wanted to come get THAT machine, they’d be doing me a favor!

Ya know folks, people frogmarched Nixon out of office for piddley assed Watergate.

Why is Barack Obama and the government in place now with no one marching their traitor asses out of DC?

We get what we deserve if we allow this to happen.

I am about sick of it.

I think the real purpose for all of this is that Obama has agreed to sell the clunkers to Cuba. Those 1958 Chevys on the island are probably unfixable by this time and Obama has probably struck a deal to give them our clunkers because, after all, Cuba is one of Obama’s biggest allies.

Thanks.

I was too mad when I saw this to do a proper post.

Here is the text of what Glen showed.

“This application provides access to the DoT CARS system. When logged on to the CARS system, your computer is considered a Federal computer system and is the property of the U.S. Government.

Any or all uses of this system and all files on this system may be intercepted, monitored, recorded, copied, audited, inspected, and disclosed...

to authorized CARS, DoT, and law enforcement personnel, as well as authorized officials of other agencies, both domestic and foreign.”

Most likely for dealers only.

Most smart dealers would buy a cheap PC soley for the purpose of submitting these applications and nothing else (just like the local repair shops and their DMV inspection pc’s). The govt. is looking for the scam artist dealers who will no doubtedly try to play the system by using info stored on their computers to generate bogus applications for payment.

Better be careful of Google also. They have been databasing search information for the government. When you use Google Earth to look at your home, it stores the infomation, sends it to the government and then government spy satellites, much more advanced than the ones used by Google Earth are trained in on your home.

They will use satellites that are in the extreme eastern or western sky to peer through your windows or use their thermal imaging satellites to monitor activities inside the home. The Democrats complained about Bush, but Obama has taken snooping to a whole new level.

I stopped using online banking a long time ago due to background activities on my computer. Several times I had my port watcher sound an alarm, my antivirus go off, my firewall pop up a warning that an intrusion was detected and I found several processes running that shouldn’t have been. Our privacy is gone folks. Communism is here!
