Sen. Christopher Dodd of Connecticut announced Friday that he has an early form of prostate cancer.

"I feel fine; I'm going to be fine. We caught this early," he said at a news conference in Hartford with his wife, Jackie Clegg Dodd.

In the spirit of "never let a crisis go to waste", Dodd is pushing US toward a healthcare package that he, as a political elite, is automatically exempted from. If it's good enough for us, why isn't it good enough for Senator Prostate Cancer??

Microscopic prostate cancer is much more common than people think. The bottom line is that for him to use this as a political tool is egregious and unethical. Aren't these the same people who were telling the Bush administration not to remind us of 9-11 because it would be wrong to politicize it? I'm sure the timing of this had nothing to do with the fact that over the last few days Dodd’s name has been in the news based on claims that he knew he was getting a sweetheart loan deal.
