Maybe he’s two years older than he says. Maybe he was born in Hawaii on August 4th, 1959 and not 1961. That would be two weeks before Hawaii became a state.

Barry Goldwater was born in Arizona Territory - that was not an impediment for him running for president.

True, but I’d bet that Goldwater’s parents were both US citizens.

Anyone can run for president. NJ allowed a known foreign-born citizen on the 2008 ballot. Goldwater never had to qualify for the office so his status is moot.
