It was once said by the “Rathers”© on the left, that George W. Bush was not eligible for the office of the presidency because he had gone AWOL during his service in the Air National Guard.
It was a serious accusation, it meant that George W. Bush was guilty of a federal offence under the UCMJ and might not be eligible for the office which he held at the time.
so to silence the “Rathers”© George W. Bush released all his records, in true transparency that included not only his birth certificate (as part of his Officers service record book) but his school records, his medical records his dental records, his flight log book and all military pay records. Faced with this complete disclosure, the “Rathers”© had no choice but to actually forge a fictitious and easily disprovable letter that stated in effect only they wanted to prove.
And now in a mirror opposite of the presidency of George W. Bush, we have another man that is said to be not eligible for the office of the presidency, only this time the “Rathers”© are covering up his past, using forged documents to shield him from scrutiny, and allowing him to spend millions of dollars from his campaign fund to hide a single sheet of paper that would normally cost $12 from being exposed in a court of law.
If Obama had an “R” after his name the “Rathers”© would be rioting in the streets calling for his immediate arrest on a host of charges from forgery to murder.
The Birthers still believe that our laws will eventually win out.
I pray they are right, because if the law fails us by 2012 this country as we knew it won’t exist.
Thanks for that reminder. It is important to know that Bush took the charges seriously and presented the documentation to prove it false. Obama has yet to do that.
