Yes, I believe he’s hiding something. But what?
What sort of people go to elaborate lengths to conceal or reinvent their pasts? On another thread someone suggested that only criminals and con men would do such things. Does BO have an (expunged) criminal record?
Others have suggested BO’s cloaked past indicates CIA connections. Is he a federally-protected witness of some sort?
BO’s willingness to be very free and loose with his past (regarding how his parents met, how he met his wife, etc.) casts suspicion on everything else he does or says. I find it deeply disturbing that he apparently does not have any sense of public accountability for his words and actions. This is a man without a firm center of any sort. He does not seem to know who he is much of the time. He is a “citizen of the world.” He is everywhere and nowhere. He is everyone and no one.
If his allegiances are to countries other than our own, that does not bode well for our national security.
I don’t know if he was born in Hawai’i. I don’t know if he’s an Indonesian citizen.
Whatever his origins, we can’t afford to have such a person leading us.
I don’t believe his vagueness is necessarily part of a long-term plan to discredit “birthers” and make conservatives look crazy. I think it’s a personal identity problem (too bad that the at age of 48 he hasn’t yet figured out who he is) and unfortunately the nation is bearing the brunt of it.
Regarding his state senate race and how he arranged to have the court unseal his rival’s (Ryan) divorce records, BO can certainly understand and appreciate how personal data can be used to derail a political career.
We must have a Constitutionally-eligible President, and it looks as if we’ll have to head to SCOTUS to see just what “natural born citizen” means.
Kind of bad move to run for President if you are. Unless we see Obama suddenly vanish from sight after completing his term or getting impeached, then we'll know why.
