Perhaps because it’s NOT his money and he can make his enemies look like fools for wasting so much time, effort, spit, and their own money on something that is demonstrably provable at a time and place of OBAMA’S choosing. The birthers are being played by the master manipulator.

Bingo - that's the *real* conspiracy going on. It is fairly obvious that there was a rope-a-dope going on - first dKos in June, with a lame photoshopped COLB. Only later did they lower the boom with factcheck and the state of Hawaii - 3 days before the election. I question the timing of it.

With Obama falling in the polls, the left MSM has latched onto birthers as an attack vehicle. The birthers are too dense to notice that Obama is using them to play the Race Card.

If you didn't get the memo from the state of Hawaii's statement, you never will.

“When Barack Obama Jr. was born on Aug. 4, 1961, in Honolulu, Kenya was a British colony, still part of the United Kingdom’s dwindling empire. As a Kenyan native, Barack Obama Sr. was a British subject whose citizenship status was governed by The British Nationality Act of 1948. That same act governed the status of Obama Sr.’s children. Since Sen. Obama has neither renounced his U.S. citizenship nor sworn an oath of allegiance to Kenya, his Kenyan citizenship automatically expired on Aug. 4, 1982. “

(FactCheck.org, as quoted in Obama’s “Fight the Smears” webpage regarding his birth certificate, emphasis added).

The country where a dual national is located generally has a stronger claim to that person’s allegiance.

However, dual nationals owe allegiance to both the United States and the foreign country. They are required to obey the laws of both countries. Either country has the right to enforce its laws, particularly if the person later travels there. Most U.S. citizens, including dual nationals, must use a U.S. passport to enter and leave the United States. Dual nationals may also be required by the foreign country to use its passport to enter and leave that country. Use of the foreign passport does not endanger U.S. citizenship. Most countries permit a person to renounce or otherwise lose citizenship.

United States Attorney General, George Williams, whom was a U.S. Senator aligned with Radical Republicans during the drafting of the Fourteenth Amendment in 1866, ruled in 1873 the word “jurisdiction” under the Fourteenth Amendment “must be understood to mean absolute and complete jurisdiction, such as the United States had over its citizens before the adoption of this amendment.” He added, “Political and military rights and duties” do not pertain to anyone else.
