First of all, wherever he was born, he’s not a “natural-born citizen” because his father was not a citizen. Admittedly, the distinction between a citizen-at-birth and a natural-born citizen is a hard sell to the general population.
If he wasn’t born in Hawaii, he is not a citizen AT ALL. Are you okay with disregarding the Constitution to that extent?
Finally, if you and I and everyone else agrees: Obama was born in Hawaii. He’s a citizen...
Then WHY is he HIDING his long-form birth certificate?
The point is not what YOU think is or is not on the B.C., or what birthers think is or is not on it.
The real point is what Obama KNOWS is on it. And it is something he wants to make we DON’T SEE.
It's a hard sell because it conflicts with Supreme Court ruling on citizenship at birth since 1898. Obama was born in Hawaii and a citizen from birth. Ergo, he is eligible to be President. Arguments to the contrary are of the type that wants to overturn previous court ruling (Wong Kim Ark ruling) in order to achieve the goal. That's a pipedream.

I am sorry, but INA 301 laws were updated in 1986 giving *anyone* born to at least one parent who was a US citizen birthright citizenship. So Obama has been a US citizen from birth even if he was born in Kenya. You could argue only the very narrow grounds that his situation was excluded in 1961, but even that is dicey, since the 1986 law change was retroactive. Thus, the Obama lawyers could argue that in 2009 he is eligible on the basis of the 1986 law affirming his natural-born citizenship state *no matter where he was born*. And SCOTUS would probably buy it.

Why do people ask such leading-premised questions? the form you get when you ask for birth records from the state of Hawaii is the COLB. He asked for it, he got it, he released it.
He might not even HAVE the original birth certificate in his possession, and state of hawaii has said that there *IS NO* 'long form birth certificate. The COLB is the only form of birth certification, other than the original paper birth certificate, which state of hawaii has on record, and which a state of hawaii official says she looked at and verified his birthplace as Honolulu.

Another false premise. You cannot say for sure if Obama has it in his possession. Thus, he might not know whats on it other than the obvious items that are already in the COLB.
