The Dems had a conspiracy theorist named Michael Moore making movies about the evil GWB. The Dems trumpeted the ‘Bush and Cheney started wars to seize oil and make themselves and Haliburton rich’ nonsense for years. The left makes it’s living off of parroting conspiracy theories about conservatives. How did any of that hurt them Dems in ‘08?
Because lots of Dems are dumb and shameless.
People inclined to vote Republican tend to have more delicate sensibilities (for better or worse), most notably a sense of shame. Its easier to keep Republicans home, which is why most elections truly hinge on Republican turnout.
Is this unfair ? Well, so it is. Thats life.
