You said — Emotions get heated, some comments are insulting or kooky, but, in general, every time we take these guys on, the pro-Birthers get a little smarter and a little more convincing.

The only problem with that — is that the only thing that is actually *happening* is the posting and arguing and “sharpening up” of posts and answers and so on...

That just doesn’t get anywhere substantial, and that’s been the problem with this issue from the beginning.

The reason why I proposed the state law to require a candidate to show his birth certificate or else he couldn’t be on the ballot (did that starting right after the election) — was that this was something that *will work*... and it still is...

So, my posting has been about the reason *why* the birth certificate has not been shown. There is no legal requirement for it to be shown. When you get right down to that reality — then — you know what the next step is. And that next step is to *get that state law*.

BUT, I’ve had people here on Free Republic post that there is no reason to get a state law like that — and presumably they just want to keep right no posting here and making the same statements, because they think that they don’t need a state law. Well, whatever they’re doing *is not working* — plain and simple...

Star,

I agree with some of what you say, certainly the state laws to require birth certificates.

However, according to most anti-Birthers, Obama’s “Short Form” is his birth certificate, so that gets me no closer to a resolution on his “Long Form.”

Also, I have followed closely the efforts of several Congressmen and several state legislators to create the laws you favor.

As expected, they were completely ignored at first, then they were mocked and ridiculed and attacked.

Thanks to our corrupted press, this is not a fair fight, Star Traveler.

The fact that success seems like an unreachable goal, at the moment, is to be expected.

I'm also very cheered by events in the last few days.

Nationally known "Conservatives" like Rich Lowry and Taranto have felt compelled to address the issue.

Yet, after reading their essays, I realized I knew more about the issues than they did, and I recognized that their essays were filled with disgraceful factual errors.

I have no idea where or how this thing will end.

But I will keep pecking away at Obama and his MSM lobbyists until I'm satisfied I have the answers.
