In my opinion, Glenn Beck is the sanest voice in talk radio and probably the most compassionate as well. I understand that, in previous life, he was a drug addict and saw the world of liberalism up close and personal.

I don't think that should be a prerequisite for being in talk radio, but it is certainly a strong point in his resume.

He was a bad alcoholic, but the effect is pretty similar. He said his life hit rock bottom and was to the point of contemplating suicide.
