I believe is more likely he was not. Why would Ann, after just giving birth to her first born, take off a couple of weeks later to Seattle and enroll in school there? Alone. Sr. didn’t want to see his new baby? It makes no sense.

Ann’s life from 17 on doesn’t make a whole lot of sense either...to me anyway.
I think she went back to Seattle to escape the jerk she married until he was gone...as she had friends close by and was probably accepted their previously thus easier to get in, in state tuition etc Autumn semester starts late september in UW...did she keep Jr with her or was mom taking care of him ?
