There was also a female dispacher who was on the phone with the girl who called while the police were coming and the police asked to speak with the person who saw it but the dispatcher said the person who saw it is not the person who called.
They did not have the person who saw it to put on the phone. So it seemed like the original person who saw it took off after the girl called the cops.
If the incident was a setup(and I don't know if it was), then what better way to disguise the setup than to launder the witness?

IIRC the caller said she was reporting the incident for an elderly neighbor who witnessed the apparent break in asked her to report it to the police.
