That was my thought. Why is it when a conservative pulls a “Murphy Brown,” adoptive or otherwise, it’s celebrated? No single person can care for a kid-—it’s obvious, someone else has to, either a grandmother or a nanny. Is this better than parents? You decide.

Is this better than parents? You decide.

But in these circumstances the question is "Is it better than NO parents?" The orphans of Russia are in a desperate situation and often end up being turned out of orphanages in their teens with no prospects. They end up in pretty bad circumstances.

Conservative means supporting freedom and traditional values. Adopting orphans is definitely part of that tradition.

All of you who criticize someone for giving orphans a wonderful life and a forever Mommy, shame on you; it is YOU not espousing conservative values.
