What are the odds all 3 couldn’t swim? What are the odds all 3 couldn’t swim and knew this fact, but chose to swim anyway? What are the odds foul play had a hand in this?
agreed. doesn’t pass the smell test. in Fresh water, wouldn’t bodies sink first, then float? And if one party was in trouble, one additional could have drowned assisting, but surely the third would have been sent to the desk for help?
I’ve stayed at Best Westerns - their pools are smallish and tend to be much narrower than a gym or school-size pool, and the ‘deep’ end is only about 6 feet and not much of it is deep end, since motel diving boards are dinosaurs nowadays. not sure of the laws in that area, but most states require some sort of pole-type rescue device and/or lifepreserver to be poolside and readily accessible. According to this story, all three could swim.
