A guy who thinks there are 57 states has no business trying to teach anybody anything. His arrogance is breathtaking.
Police officers routinely record interactions with citizens when they suspect there’s the possibility of a beef. That’s one possible source of tape. The other is from the radio traffic. Anybody yelling in the background would be picked up during transmissions from the scene. I’m awaiting release of the tapes with great anticipation.
Actually, in his case, it’s more a ‘learnable moment’. Not that he’s capable of that...

I cannot believe that the Cambridge P.D. did not handle Gates respectfully and carefully. Gates is the one who escalated the incident. He must have been drunk or on a substance. Too bad they didn’t test his BAC.
Cambridge, with its diversity and its regular and transient residents of every race, nation, and color, would never tolerate a P.D. that is not well-trained and courteous.
Obama jumped onto the wrong side in this fight. His was a pure knee-jerk reaction,worthy of the Reverend Wright.
Gibbs has to be the outright dumbest a-hole to visit Washington. I guess Odumbo didn’t want anyone to out-SHINE his beautiful A$$.

Or maybe he’s just super p.r. skilled! He won’t give them any personal information that gives ammunition to their defamation, only personal information that is counter-intuitive to their screeds.
He knows he was fully professional, so he has that to rely on and he’s smart enough not to give them any rope with which to hang him.
And it may well be true that he supported Obama—if he’s been doing the racial profiling course he probably truly is post-racial and color-blind.
IF that’s the case, then these race pimps are stupider than stupid. They assume all white cops are racist and it never crossed their mind that any cop truly could be color-blind. But if he is a political liberal who has in the past toed the politically correct line on race, then they’ve chosen the wrong guy to tangle with.
And whether he remains colorblind and p.c. after what they’re putting him through remains to be seen.
My understanding is that it was a microphone on his radio or something like that. In any case, the unilatercation was heard in real time by folks at headquarters and recorded there.
He said he supported Obama 110% after stating that he did not vote for him. Not sure why.
Well, presumably they'll be putting a couple more shrimp on those barbs while they have that beer.
