I’d rather attack him daily on his policies and philosophy than going after a citizenship issue that CAN’T BE PROVEN!

It can be proven. And it actually doesn't require a birth certificate. What's required is the 'official' definition of what constitutes a 'natural born citizen'.

Now, if that definition says that both of your parents have to be US citizens, well Obama is screwed. If the definition says it's ok for one or both of your parents to be foreigners as long as you were born on US soil obviously he would be legit. It's as simple as that.

The trick is to get some official ruling on his status. And you are perhaps correct here- it would probably be impossible to get the SCOTUS to rule on it.

But, and this is where it gets interesting. If this bill the Congressman who is in the linked video is talking about gets passed it could be that it would eliminate Barry from running again in 2012. This is what I believe has the Lefties so pissed off about all this. We can accomplish this and I think this is what you anti-birthers are missing. We can maybe eliminate the guy from running again in 2012 and that makes it a legitimate tactic worth pursuing.

obviously he would be legit

Obviously, this assumes he was born in Hawaii. Just want to make that clear.

They chickened out several times.

I think in this case, the issue is so important that the SCOTUS has a DUTY to look at the issue, much as they had a duty in 2000 to settle the Bush/Florida debacle. Without their taking the issue, viewing the real evidence in the person, there can be no closure, and Obama does not have legitimacy in many people's minds, including mine.

I really do think the SCOTUS is afraid of this issue. They know if the evidence shows Obama is not really a "natural born citizen" as required, all hell would break loose. So they are comfortable sitting on the issue and hoping it passes, as does Obama.
